🌍 Planning to study in Australia?
One of the most important steps in your admission and student visa process is demonstrating financial capacity. This proves you can meet tuition, living, and travel costs during your studies and support any family members joining you.
If requested, you may need to complete a Demonstration of Financial Capacity form with supporting documents.
✅ Option 1 – Sufficient Funds for 12 Months
You must show access to funds to cover yourself (and family, if applicable). Acceptable sources:
🔹 Sponsorship – Support from eligible family (parents, siblings, in-laws) with proof of relationship + affidavit of support.
🔹 Education/Personal Loan – From a recognised institution, including details of borrower, loan amount, term, and disbursement.
🔹 Bank Accounts – Savings/current/fixed deposit accounts, personal only, with a 3-month history and latest transaction within 2 weeks. (Note: penalties on premature fixed deposits may affect assessment.)
✅ Option 2 – Annual Income Requirement
Show minimum annual income of:
$87,856 AUD if travelling alone
$102,500 AUD if with family
Income must be from your spouse or parents only (not accompanying you), can be combined, proven by official government documentation (issued within 12 months), plus affidavit of support.
